The Rewards of Forgiveness

What a sweet word it is—forgiveness —and what kindness, self-forgetfulness, and beauty are wrapped up in it! To practice it is to experience a taste of the infinite of Love, and without it one cannot approach God.

Christ Jesus said, "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."
Matt. 6:12;  Mrs. Eddy advises in Miscellaneous Writings: "If you have been badly wronged, forgive and forget God will recompense this wrong, and punish, more severely than you could, him who has striven to injure you. Never return evil for evil; and, above all, do not fancy that you have been wronged when you have not been."
Mis., p. 12;

To forgive is to give completely: to give up revenging, holding a grudge, rehearsing a wrong. It is giving all into the hands of God.
