CHRISTMAS IN SUMMER

Two women were looking
At Christmas cards
In a summer shop.
One said, "I don't want to think
Of Christmas this early."
The other remarked,
"They're rushing the Christmas season."
I was grateful that my Christmas
Is the love, peace, and goodwill
That I keep in my heart
Through all the days
Of all the years—
The Christmas of the Christ
Which has no season.
