Christian Science has been my religion since childhood. Even before I realized its value, I was guided and protected by it.
Not until I was a young married woman did I come face to face with my need to be less apathetic, and more staunch in this religion which had blessed me. At this time I found myself beginning to lose physical strength, so much so that there were days when I felt just too weary to make the effort to get out of bed. During this same period I had periodic attacks of extreme pain across my chest. These would leave me feeling even weaker than I had been before.
When members of my family began to urge me to see a physician, I took my first strong stand for Christian Science. I unhesitatingly rejected such a suggestion, for deep within me welled up the firm conviction that the only true physician is God, and that I would never really be healed except by Him.
