For almost forty-one years I have enjoyed reading the testimonies and articles in the Christian Science periodicals, and studying Christian Science, without submitting a written testimony expressing my gratitude for all this religion has meant to me.

One of my first healings was that of asthma. Some of my earliest memories as a child were of this malady. The healing came in just a few months, when I was a teen-ager, through my mother's reading aloud to me at night from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Several times she read all night. The healing has been permanent.

A few years later I was healed of a severe attack of impetigo. Friends and relatives who were not Scientists were greatly alarmed at this manifestation and strongly urged all sorts of medical help, making many dire predictions. It was necessary for me to handle considerable fear of this condition and remove myself from the view of these loved ones. The physical manifestations faded completely away, leaving no scars, when I finally took my stand as Jesus did when he was tempted by the devil in the wilderness and said (Matt. 4:10), "Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
