I discovered how to apply Christian Science in daily experience...
I discovered how to apply Christian Science in daily experience during my four years at college. For three of the first four semesters I received letters from the Dean of Students' office informing me that I was in danger of flunking out of school. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner, who urged me to work on the concept of intelligence, I squeaked through these semesters. However, my grades were still not up to my expectations.
I discussed this problem with the Christian Science college organization advisor. He referred me to page 296 of Science and Health, where Mrs. Eddy writes, "Progress is born of experience."
Throughout my junior year and the first semester of my senior year I continued to make slight academic progress. However, shortly after the start of my final semester, my grades dropped again. It became evident that I would have to take another course in the summer in order to complete my degree requirements. I was declared scholastically ineligible for one of the athletic teams.
