Heartfelt gratitude to God opened the door for me to experience...
Heartfelt gratitude to God opened the door for me to experience a wonderful healing. At the time, the pain was so severe that I could not move to reach the telephone beside my pillow. I felt that I was passing on and I thought, "Well, dear Father, no matter what mortal mind, error, is trying to do to this matter body, I am very grateful You are my Father, my Mother, my God. I am so very grateful that only what You know about me is true about me."
This was all I remembered until I woke up healed. I was as free as a bird. It was still dark, so I had no idea how long I had slept. I thanked God again. Then two words, "image—likeness," appeared distinctly to my thought. I said, "Yes, dear Father, You did make man in Your image, after Your likeness, and I am grateful." Then I thought of the deep significance of the word "dominion." I understood as never before how in the beginning God made man in His image, after His likeness, and gave man dominion over all that He had made. Now what else could God do? What else could God do for His children than to give them dominion over all? Nothing. But we have our part to do. We must claim and accept the dominion God has given man and use it.
What is the first thing we do when we accept anything? Express gratitude. Then I thought to myself, "Well, I did express gratitude before the healing came. I was so truly very grateful that God is my Father-Mother even when the pain seemed severe and I felt I was passing on. I was truly very grateful to know God is my Father-Mother." This was when it was revealed to me that deep, sincere, heartfelt gratitude is the open door to complete healing. To me, gratitude is the sealing of the acceptance.
