Guarantee of Perfection
Consciously or unconsciously we sometimes wish that somewhat in the way the quality of certain goods we buy is guaranteed, we too could be guaranteed lifelong health or lifelong happiness. On occasions like weddings and anniversaries we wish our friends well in these terms. But do we believe that lifelong happiness, health, and prosperity are possible in this material world? Christian Science shows us that they are—to those who devote themselves wholeheartedly to understanding God and expressing His nature in their daily lives.
Christian Science guarantees us a growing sense of freedom from all evil. It brings us the consciousness of the ever-presence of God and His goodness. It unfolds the infinite capacities of man and shows clearly that since man is the image and likeness of God he can never fall from his original perfection.
Now, someone may argue that he has been a student of Christian Science for many years, is a kind and moral person, living in accord with the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule, and yet seems to encounter one problem after another. Then where is his guarantee of perfection?
