I am very grateful for Christian Science because it changes my whole outlook on life. About three years ago when my wife passed on, I became depressed and, as a result, showed evidence of being very weak physically and mentally. It was then that my daughter advised me to seek refuge in some church, and she suggested Christian Science. I followed through with her suggestion and discovered that I had made the right move and began studying and applying Christian Science.

My biggest problem at that time was fear, for I feared living alone and worried about lack of money. I even discontinued driving my car at night out of fear. But now all this has changed. Through my study of Christian Science I am gaining dominion over the body and learning to rely on God for strength and supply. I no longer fear and obey the material body.

Mrs. Eddy has written in Science and Health (p. 214), "Mortals are inclined to fear and to obey what they consider a material body more than they do a spiritual God." It is this "spiritual God" that I have accepted, and what a wonderful blessing it has been to me!
