Last summer, while I was in New York with my family on vacation, I woke up not feeling well one morning. We were all planning on spending the day at the beach, but my mother decided to stay home with me. We studied the ninety-first and twenty-third Psalms, which I had learned in Sunday School. These words made me feel God's nearness to help and heal me (91:11): "He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways" and "I will fear no evil: for thou art with me" (23:4). I slept well that night.
The next day we returned home, and since the problem seemed to be more than just a stomachache, we decided to call a Christian Science practitioner to treat me. We continued to study the Bible, and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and within an hour I was feeling much better. Soon we realized that I had been healed.
The next day I went out to play. I am glad I am a Christian Scientist and happy to be a pupil in the Sunday School. It is nice to know that we are in God's care always.
