I do not know a person in this world who does not want to be happy. I do not really know a person who is happy apart from a personal relationship to God. Many say they are happy for the moment, but it is soon gone. What makes it so? Because they who live only on an earthly plane are unable to enjoy eternal experiences until God is their Lord.

We are a nation of people. God has given us a pleasant, a wealthy land, and a land blessed with intelligence, liberty and Christian faith. This country of ours is a goodly heritage. It has come down to us because people knew God as the Lord, and they were willing to make every kind of self-sacrifice to extend our way of life. We have every reason to be happy because God has been exalted in this nation and by this nation since its inception, and when this nation turns its back upon God, it becomes an unhappy people. God is the life of a nation; [this] is the secret of its success....
