My first testimony was published in 1931. With a heart filled with gratitude for the abundance of good that has been mine to enjoy and share with others the past forty-nine years, I again acknowledge the healing power of Christian Science.

On my first visit with a Christian Science practitioner, seeking information about Christian Science, I had an instantaneous healing of an ailment that several physicians had failed to cure after long treatment. The physician who had attended me acknowledged my healing in Christian Science.

One night in more recent years I was suffering with a severe chest cold. The condition became so congested that breathing was difficult. I was serving our church as First Reader at the time and wanted to be at my post the next morning. During the night I decided to call my Christian Science teacher in another city to ask him to help me through prayer. After he had spoken a few words of Truth, I said, "Yes, but you know I have to read in the morning." The answer was, "You have always been able to do what you needed to do." As I recalled with gratitude the many instances of healing through prayer in Christian Science, almost at once the chest was free. I served at my post that morning perfectly healed, giving God the praise.
