At the earliest possible age I was enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School and attended regularly until the age of twenty years. For this and for the spiritual instruction and guidance given me each day by my mother, I shall be eternally grateful.

Because the periodicals have been such a help to me in my growth in Christian Science, I wish to share the following experience in the hope that it may help someone else.

While we were visiting relatives for the weekend, our nine-year-old daughter came into the room screaming and holding her forehead. She had fallen on an iron fence, and over her eye she had a deep wound that covered half her eyebrow. I quietly told her she was all right and took her into the bathroom. Two relatives who were not Christian Scientists came along and busily began to get bandages together. I covered the wound with a facecloth and realized that the only thing that needed attending to was our thinking, the child's thought and my own. As she was still screaming and expressing a great deal of fear, I asked these dear ones if they would leave us alone for a few moments so that I could calm her, and they did.
