It is with the deepest sense of gratitude that I submit this testimony.

Our youngest child had epilepsy. We engaged a Christian Science practitioner to give our son treatment, and my husband and I continued to study faithfully the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. In time we joined both the Christian Science Society in our vicinity and The Mother Church. We served in many church capacities in order to gain a better understanding of God and demonstrate this wonderful way of life. Mary Baker Eddy says in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. 306), "Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle,—is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal."

We prayed to see that God is the Father-Mother of all. There is not and never has been another power to present an opposite to the perfect spiritual idea of God's creating. Not only did we seek to see our child as God's image and likeness, but to see everyone, everywhere, and every place as offering only good to all. As we continued to turn thought from the physical sense testimony to the real man of God's creating, we made progress, but the disease did not completely yield.
