In the Bible we read in part (Matt. 10:8), "Freely ye have received, freely give." These words have alerted me to the need of expressing gratitude in a practical way for all that Christian Science has done for our family.

In the Second World War my husband failed to pass a physical examination for the Air Force because of a slipped cartilage of the knee. This was a painful condition and often resulted in his walking with a limp. Being British-born, he was particularly anxious to be active in military service. I suggested that he have a talk with a Christian Science practitioner. Although only mildly interested in Christian Science at that time, he agreed to do this. After two Christian Science treatments he was led to apply for another examination. This time he passed with flying colors. He served for four years with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and to this day, twenty-seven years later, he has had complete freedom in the use of his knee.

Through the study of Christian Science difficult business adjustments have been happily made. Physical healings have included those of thyroid disease and headaches. Human relationship problems have been solved.
