Young Man in a Hurry
[For young adults]
What sort of experiences will help young people become active, working Christian Scientists? When asked this question, some college students answered, "Being challenged to use Christian Science in connection with daily problems."
One young man disagreed. "This daily problems stuff is so much nit-picking," he maintained. "What we need are conferences and discussions on world problems or social issues. Such activities would inspire in us a keener awareness of the world's need for brotherhood and thus make us more active Christian Scientists."
His word "nit-picking" caught my ear. What could better describe insignificant endeavor. This young man was in a hurry. Not for him the snail's pace of individual growth and regeneration! With the world about to blow itself apart, why should he and his friends putter around with matters of merely personal dimension!
