MORNING MEAL
John 21:1—17
Our empty nets proclaimed
our empty hearts and hopes,
yet dawn of recognition
filled—fulfilled—them all.
And here ashore, imagine:
fuel, fire, food! Did
human hands prepare? Can
Love that filled our net in single moment likewise
tend the least detail?
Would such resource be ours
to "feed my lambs"? Perhaps, but who is worthy to summon
such a feast? His answer
is so simple, certain:
All who "feed my sheep," as if some sacred insight
opens secret floodgates
just at hand. But how?
"Feed my sheep"—and see!
