Have Passport—Will Travel

[For children]

Mike's favorite subject in school was geography. He often brought his geography book home and showed his family some of the pictures of far-off lands—the South Sea Islands, African villages, the towering Alps in Switzerland. He longed to see all these places for himself when he was older. When he asked his parents, "Do you think I'll go there someday?" they always answered, "Why not;"

One bright winter morning Mike had to come home from school because he had a sore throat. He flopped down on his bed feeling very unhappy. That evening he and his family had planned to go see his older brother in a high school play. And the next day his Boy Scout troop was going on a twelve-mile hike.
