As a young draftsman doing fine detail work, I began to have trouble with my eyes. Upon being examined by an optometrist I was told that I was nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other. In addition I was admonished to "put these glasses on and never take them off." Soon after this a co-worker informed me that I looked more distinguished with glasses than I did without them. This was apparently all I needed to become an ego slave to glasses. I accepted them as a way of life and periodically returned for reexamination and adjustments for over thirty-five years.

During the past ten years I became interested in the study of Christian Science. My wife had had some early training in the Christian Science Sunday School, and as she began to recognize that our children were not getting much of a spiritual background, she took her stand to return to membership in her branch Church of Christ, Scientist. To her surprise, I announced, "I am going with you."

Many healings have come to members of our family as we have studied and made practical application of these spiritual rules in our daily activities.
