It is with much gratitude and joy that I relate the following proofs of the healing power of Christian Science.

Our son was born with a birthmark on his face. I was not at first alert enough to deny this lie about God's perfect child and replace it with the truth of his spiritual nature and origin. However, when numerous persons commented upon the condition, I awakened to the need for doing so. I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, and she at once turned my thought to the spotless purity of God's creation. With the help of the Concordances to the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, I found many helpful references that pointed to the need for purifying consciousness. One of these from the Bible was (Job 11:14, 15): "If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot."

The healing did not come at once, but as my thought became uplifted to realize that the condition could not possibly exist in divine Mind and therefore could not exist in Mind's reflection, man, the birthmark completely disappeared.
