In Christian Science there is cause for gratitude for each spiritually awakened thought and for the proof of divine Love's ever-presence.

Throughout many years I have had beautiful experiences of healing in Christian Science. One such occurred some years ago. I was at an evening picnic by the ocean. Overcoats and wraps had been dropped in a pile on the beach. Later in the evening when we were preparing to leave, I had gone ahead of the others and had begun sorting the wraps, pulling them off the pile. A large bumblebee, evidently long imprisoned among the garments, stung the back of one of my hands. I had not seen the bee, and the sting was violent.

For two days and nights the hand and the forearm to the elbow were painful and discolored. I managed to keep them out of sight.
