"The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword' (Hebr. 4:12). I was able to prove this statement recently in the healing of a severe abdominal condition.

I was stricken late one afternoon with intense pain in my stomach and was just able to call an experienced Christian Science practitioner for help. I got almost immediate relief from the severe pain, but the soreness in my stomach continued for several weeks without any apparent progress. Finally the swelling of the abdomen made normal activity impossible, and the physical evidence was quite frightening and very painful.

At no time did I ever doubt God's ability and willingness to heal. The outpouring love expressed by many friends during this time was most comforting and inspiring.
