The Oxford English Dictionary notes that, as used in this verse, this is a phrase, now obsolete, in which "record" is a noun, meaning "witness." Therefore it is pronounced rek'erd (first e as in e nd, second as in mak e r; or, in British usage, rek'ord—e as in e nd, o as in o rb) .
