The Perfect Model
The Bible authoritatively declares that man is created in God's image and likeness. He reflects Truth's, Life's, and Love's divine nature and character. God's perfection is manifested in man. Here is the simple and direct answer to the question "Where can the perfect model be found?" It is found in each of us because man, God's spiritual idea, is the perfect expression of perfect God. Let us therefore hold in consciousness this unvarying ideal, the embodiment of God's spiritual qualities. Let us behold the radiance of Soul —true being—beautifying and crowning man, the perfect model.
Human models are judged by outward appearance. Height and breadth, color and form humanly defined, enter into mankind's quest for the perfect model. Yet perfection never can be found in the transient, fluctuating standards of matter. Imperfection is the very mark of matter because it is temporary, mortal, and discordant.
When will the human mind give up its imperfect models? When will it shape its views in consonance with Love's faultless design? Every improved thought leads in this right direction. Thoughts delineate on the body either joyous, healthy, satisfying effects or discordant, sick, and troublesome ones. Thoughts bring out harmony or discord according to their spiritual or material premise.
