Christian Science Church Center
PROGRESS REPORT NO. 26
The money now flowing into The Mother Church in support of the new Church Center signifies more than interest in an important denominational project. It is the outward sign of spontaneous and generous gratitude on the part of Christian Scientists the world over. It represents their desire to help their brother men, to share the gift of Christian Science with everyone.
The outpouring reminds one of Mrs. Eddy's words in her dedicatory sermon for the Original Mother Church edifice: "There was no urging, begging, or borrowing; only the need made known, and forth came the money, or diamonds, which served to erect this 'miracle in stone.'"1
Church members and friends of Christian Science will be interested to know that many current building costs have already been met. But the major part of the project lies ahead, and strong, continuing support is needed.
