True Individuality
[Original in German]
It is often assumed that in order to deal with the world and maintain a certain position in society, one must elbow his way to get ahead. But this concept does not meet the standard of individuality that Christian Science presents.
Christ Jesus, the great Exemplar for all time, declared, "The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise." John 5:19; These words show clearly that Jesus saw himself as actually the Son of God, reflecting spiritually all that belongs to the Father.
An enduring, ever-present law, however, underlies the realization of true individuality, as Christ Jesus taught and lived it. Everyone can comprehend and practice it, that is, apply it, whatever the age he lives in. In the textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy points to the unchanging law of God that maintains and unfolds every true individuality.
