I have received many blessings since first hearing of Christian Science. One of the healings I am most grateful for gave me a better understanding of Love.

We have a son, an only child. He seemed all the world to me. He was away at school from an early age, but I always had the great joy of holidays to look forward to, for then he would be at home. He did his National Service, and he still came back to me. He lived with me while studying for his degree. Then came the day when he left home for the north of England to take up a career in journalism. At the same time he became engaged to be married, and it was a shock to realize that he would never come back to me again in the same way as previously. His fiancee would now come first.

After he had left, I just felt bewildered and very miserable. My husband was still in the Army and suggested my joining him again. But he was soon to retire, and somehow I knew that this was not the answer to my deep problem of having to give up my son.
