God-controlled Action

Much of the physical inharmony that plagues mankind has its base in a material sense of action. Physiology teaches that the human body is an intricate machine animated and controlled by a personal mind whose action is in itself an organic function. It sees all bodily movement, or activity, as starting with electrical impulses in the brain that, in turn, impel the various functions and motions of the body. Quite often this brain consciousness loses effective control of its body, and on its own the body appears to develop abnormalities or degenerative tendencies. These mutations are called disease, and they one and all indicate some form of faulty action.

Medical methods, despite the humanitarian motives of doctors, have failed to destroy the diseased action of the mortal body. After centuries of ever-changing theories and techniques, the individual mortal still remains the servant of his body and the haphazard beliefs that seem to govern it.

For the past hundred years Christian Science has had marked success in healing every type of diseased action. It offers a sure and certain release from both functional and organic disorders when its teachings are accepted with an open mind and its demands for spiritual regeneration are met.
