For many years I have eagerly turned to the testimonies in our periodicals with an expectancy of help and inspiration. It is my sincere hope that my sharing of the many blessings I have received through the study and application of the truths of Christian Science will bring this help and inspiration to others.

I was exposed to this religion through marriage to a student of Christian Science, and it wasn't long before I realized that my husband had something to which he turned in every need. Upon investigating the literature in our home, the first thing that impressed me was the statement, "God is Love." I had turned away from an orthodox religion many years before because I could not accept the teachings of a harsh and wrathful Deity.

Merely through reading the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy, I found myself healed of many physical difficulties of long standing— spastic colitis, a sinus condition, hemorrhoids, constipation, periodic backaches, severe headaches, corns and calluses. A threatened miscarriage was averted with the prayerful support of a Christian Science practitioner, through whose work I gained an awareness of God as the true creator. Later the false appetites of smoking and social drinking disappeared, never to return.
