"Immediately ... made whole"
The writer loves to recall her first instantaneous healing experienced shortly after her introduction to Christian Science. She was suffering from migraine and nausea. She telephoned a Christian Science practitioner, who told her that help would be given immediately.
Although the writer was unable to study her Bible and Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, she decided that she would at least express gratitude for them. As she walked away from the phone to a chair a few feet away, she hugged them close to her and said, "Thank You, dear Father, for these precious books." Even before she had time to sit down, she realized with great joy that she was entirely free, without a vestige of pain or upset stomach. This seemed almost miraculous to her at the time because she had never before experienced an instantanous healing.
She called the practitioner to express her gratitude. The practitioner replied, "My dear, when you called, I reached out prayerfully to the Father in gratitude and said, 'Thank You, God, for Your allness, Your oneness, and Your great love.'"
