A Thorough Understanding
[For young adults]
Some students are good in English, but mathematics baffles them. Some would like to major in sociology but are afraid they might flunk the statistics course required of sociology majors. Others avoid taking a course in the modern novel—something they would really enjoy delving into—because they don't think they could get a very good grade.
Any student would be thrilled to have a thorough understanding of every course he wishes or is required to take. Yet students who have an understanding of God's true relationship to man in Christian Science know that this is possible. They know that God is unlimited Mind and that His spiritual man expresses Mind's perfect wisdom and keen intelligence.
Because man is the eternal expression of the all-wise Mind, he continuously expresses wisdom. One statement in the Bible pointing to God's ceaseless expression of wisdom through man is found in Proverbs: "The Lord possessed me [wisdom] in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.... Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him." Prov. 8:22-30;
