A Larger Grasp
All of us would like to demonstrate more intelligence, more poise, more eloquence, and a larger grasp of ideas. Relying on ourselves, we can improve our abilities a little. But through an ever-expanding sense of God's presence and of man's real identity as His idea, we are able to see more and more of our true being as God's infinite expression.
We can enlarge all our activities, not as originators of something good but as the expressed witnesses of perfect Mind. This Mind continually directs its perfect ideas in harmony. It is limitless, and every expression of Mind must have all the characteristics of its original. When we realize that God is our only Mind, we can reflect our right abilities, including the power to grasp and communicate ideas effectively.
In Christian Science we learn that Mind's attributes, such as harmony, intelligence, order, and purpose, are beyond the false mortal concept of man and belong to the real, spiritual man of God's creating, His perfect idea. Isaiah saw how an understanding of the oneness and allness of the divine Being could benefit mankind. He wrote, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isa. 26:3;
