Truth Is Simple
There is nothing complicated about Christian Science. Its propositions are simple and readily applied. To the newcomer, it may at first seem abstruse and difficult; but when man's innate spiritual perception is awakened through study, prayer, and self-purification, the scientific logic of this religion becomes apparent. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, "To mortal sense Christian Science seems abstract, but the process is simple and the results are sure if the Science is understood." Science and Health, p. 459;
The Biblically supported fact that God is Truth, infinite intelligent good, is the simple basis on which Christian Science builds. With unerring logic this Science then reasons that this wholly good creator, divine Spirit, made man and the universe spiritual and perfect to express Himself. The Bible says: "Ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." Deut. 32:3, 4;
Does the practicality of these assertions elude you? Are you wondering how they can affect the physical body sufficiently to heal a serious case of disease?
