It was more than forty years after Mrs. Eddy discovered the Christ Science underlying Jesus' great works that my mother brought this religion into our home. She had several pamphlets on Christian Science given to her by the proprietress of a store where she had stopped to rest. After my mother attended Christian Science church services, she enrolled me in the Sunday School of that branch church, and I continued to attend Christian Science Sunday School in various locations until I was twenty.

I submit this testimony with the desire that some who read it may be encouraged to press on in their study of Christian Science, for they will surely be rewarded as I was.

In my early teens I suffered from severe spells of sinus congestion. During one such attack my mother called a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and a complete healing resulted. There has never been a recurrence of this condition.

Shortly after receiving class instruction in Christian Science I was confined to my bed with a bilious attack, something I had suffered from on previous occasions. On the third day of this illness I strove earnestly and prayerfully to apply all I knew of Christian Science, with the result that I was healed of this condition and returned to my work the following day.

At one time it was necessary to relocate my small business. I decided to go into partnership with someone who was in a similar business on a six months' trial basis. When that period was up, I felt my best interest was to discontinue entirely my part of the business. The day after I had informed my partner of my decision, I received a letter from him stating that I could not remove any of my equipment and that he was filing suit for damages. I did some prayerful thinking about this according to the teachings of Christian Science, correcting my own thought of man as revengeful and disappointed and seeing instead that the spiritual concept of man included only the satisfied, loving, and intelligent reflection of God's being. This kind of prayer calmed me, and I was then able to phone my partner stating that the moving truck would be there next morning.

The move was made harmoniously. I gave him many useful items, and he purchased a number of valuable pieces of equipment from me. No more was mentioned about filing a suit against me. To me, this was a striking proof that calm prayerful thinking, aligned with the law of God, rules out of our experience fearful, false thinking and the inharmonies wrong thinking entails.

I recognize gratefully divine Love's care in guiding me into marriage with a sincere student of Christian Science. Together we have been able to share in the unfoldment of many wonderful ideas of home and church.

I am particularly grateful for Christ Jesus' example in showing us the way to reach the heavenly heights of divine consciousness and for Mrs. Eddy's sacrifice in giving this precious Science to all mankind.

I am happy to corroborate my son's testimony. I turned to this Science many times in the raising of our children, and I am grateful for the help of faithful practitioners in meeting the problems presented. The protection of our whole family during the influenza epidemic of 1918 was due to the truth of Christian Science. In our family on two occasions broken bones were set and healed entirely through Christian Science treatment.

For the comfort and healing that Christian Science has brought to me and mine, for Christ Jesus' great example of faithfulness to the Father, for Mrs. Eddy's labor of love, I wish to express my deepest sense of gratitude to God.
