How Do I Work In Christian Science?
The newcomer to Christian Science before long hears other students of this Science say, "I must do my work about it" or "I worked to know the truth." What does it mean to work in Christian Science?
To start with, it may be helpful to give an example of not working in Christian Science. A woman having a long run of troubles agreed to try Christian Science. She subscribed to the periodicals, attended church services and Christian Science lectures, and daily read the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly. After a little while she complained to a friend that things weren't any better. "What did you do?" asked the friend.
"Well," replied the woman, "I declared that God was All-in-all, but it didn't do anything."
