Ever since I became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, the windows of heaven have opened and poured out blessings in abundance. Before that time I went only part way and therefore received only part of the rich rewards I did not then realize existed.

I decided that it was mandatory for me to join the church in order to express my thanks, even in a small degree, for the protection of a loved one who had been in grave danger. Having the deepest gratitude for this protection, I felt that I must identify myself with this great religion. Little did I realize that however much one gives, an even greater reward returns to bless and heal the giver.

One very precious healing occurred in Jerusalem. I became ill with Asian flu. The conditions persisted for several days. I cabled a Christian Science practitioner at home, but I became very fearful and was yearning to be able to see the places in that area I had read about.
