A College Student Writes
Valid Faith
Religious faith is being questioned by many honest thinkers, and this is particularly true on college campuses. When a student is searching for Truth, how can he find it? How can he know that faith in God is justified? Is there any positive proof that God created man and that he constantly meets man's needs?
Christian Science teaches that Truth is available to all and that "God is ... a very present help in trouble." Ps. 46:1; Christian Science not only teaches this; Christian Science enables one to prove it. God's love for man is manifested through immutable laws which always work when conscientiously applied. There is no situation which is outside the realm of God's power.
If one is looking for a valid foundation for religious faith, it can be found in the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy. Christ Jesus said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." John 14:12; When we work as Jesus worked and follow his commands, we shall never find an insurmountable problem. Jesus' power to overcome evil was of God, and it is still available to men.
