One summer afternoon while at the beach with my four children and a friend with her two children, I experienced the divine power of Truth in action.

My friend and I suddenly looked up and saw her six-year-old son being pulled out into the surf by a forceful riptide. The mother ran to pull her son from the fast-moving current but was unable to grasp his hand, and he was swept into the sea.

I have learned in Christian Science to listen to the commands of the still small voice and I did so now. I was holding my infant son in my arms at the time, and the still small voice commanded me to run with my baby and place him away from the shoreline. The next command was to save the boy.
