If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are...

"If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (II Cor. 5:17). Through the study and application of the truths taught in Christian Science old beliefs are passing away in my experience and are being replaced by a new and higher understanding of what God is and what He does for man.

I should like to express gratitude for what Christian Science teaches of the all-power and ever-presence of God, for an understanding of this, even in small degree, has been the means of overcoming fear manifested as worry, anxiety, irritation, and physical ills.

Toward the end of November, 1959, I was plagued by an unsightly and distressing swelling of my face. The swelling was especially marked round the eyes, so that I could scarcely see. I had treatment from a practitioner, and the condition cleared up in a few days. But from time to time during 1962 it returned. False traits of character, such as disobedience, self-will, and false pride had to be overcome before the healing was complete; and at times I had quite a struggle. In 1963 the condition tried to manifest itself again, but the fear of it had been met and it soon disappeared. Since then there has been no return of that difficulty. I am very grateful that in Christian Science we have the sovereign panacea for ills of every kind, large and small.
