Demonstration Comes in "Cans"

On the wall of the editor's office of a country town newspaper newline was this sign: "Success Comes in Cans."

A reader of this provocative bit of terse wisdom sometimes needs to give it a moment or two of thought before he gets the point. A student of Christian Science pondered its meaning frequently and found it helpful on many occasions in proving the healing power of God. It came to him that if "Success Comes in Cans," then demonstration comes in "cans," also.

In his letter to the Philippians the Apostle Paul made a bold pronouncement of trust in divine Truth. He said, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phil. 4:13; Christian Science teaches that the Christ is the ideal Truth manifested by the Saviour, Jesus. This Science assures the individual that through his own understanding of God and his demonstration of the Christ he can master the many problems confronting him, including the problem of sickness. Under the guidance of divine Mind he can work with confidence to solve these problems, knowing that divine intelligence never leads one to attempt that which is ill-advised or impractical. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health, "Knowledge that we can accomplish the good we hope for, stimulates the system to act in the direction which Mind points out." Science and Health, p. 394;
