As one who has been blessed with the teachings of Christian Science since childhood, I could fill a Sentinel with chronicles of my healings and instances of protection.

I had an accident one day in an office building. The blow at first seemed to stun me, but almost immediately came the thought from Psalm 91 (verse 4), "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust." I knew that God's presence was protecting me from an inquisition by mortal mind and that no suggestion of fear could prevent my getting to a Christian Science Reading Room in the same building.

Although I was in a corridor normally used by dozens of people, at this time no one passed by. This gave me the opportunity to dwell on a passage from the textbook, Science and Health. On page 393 Mrs. Eddy writes: "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man."
