At the time I heard of Christian Science, I was deeply in need of a concept of Christianity that was practical. My thought was so receptive that a healing of social drinking came about through my association with one who knew of this wonderful Science. This man later became my husband.
I obtained Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy at the first opportunity, and as I read it through, I knew that this truth was the answer to all the world's problems as well as my own questions.
My paternal parent was a medical practitioner, and the medical opinion was that I could never give birth to a child, that I was too frail, that I could never carry a child the full time. Five years after I became acquainted with the teachings of Science, a beautiful and healthy boy was born to my husband and me, and in another two years another boy came.
