"The bugle-call"

Over the years the testimonies of physical healing in the Christian Science periodicals clearly indicate that many thousands of men and women in every part of the world have heard and continue to hear what Mrs. Eddy calls "the bugle-call." Rudimental Divine Science p. 2;

In answer to a question whether the healing of sickness is the whole of Christian Science, she replies with characteristic forth-rightness: "Healing physical sickness is the smallest part of Christian Science. It is only the bugle-call to thought and action, in the higher range of infinite goodness."

Christian Science, then, has been revealed in this age, with its applicable precepts and practicable rules for the demonstration of God's goodness as the only reality. The corollary is that all modes of thought and action opposed to divine good are without reality and therefore without power and may be so proved. Mrs. Eddy's mission in this age, as was that of Christ Jesus nearly two thousand years ago, was to point the way to regeneration, how to be "born again," John 3:3; as Jesus put it to Nicodemus. Christian Science shows mortals how to "put off the old man with his deeds," Col. 3:9,10; as Paul said, and to "put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him."
