Jesus said (Mark 10:27), "With God all things are possible." About eleven years ago the doctors said I would be confined to a wheelchair because of arthritis in my hip. They said there was no cure for it but that I could be given shots to relieve the pain as it became increasingly unbearable.

My husband was not a student of Christian Science, but his first wife had been; so he decided to talk to a practitioner about a loss of hearing that was bothering him at that time. I went with him to the practitioner's home. She immediately recognized him as a former college classmate, and they talked at length about their college days.

When I could endure the pain in my hip no longer, I stood up and with tears in my eyes said, "I'm sorry, but I simply can't sit still any longer." The practitioner was surprised and asked if I wanted help. I replied that I surely needed something.
