Destroying the Goliaths of Evil

"Know, then, that you possess sovereign power to think and act rightly, and that nothing can dispossess you of this heritage and trespass on Love." Pulpit and Press, p. 3; In these words Mary Baker Eddy comments on the Master's statement, "The kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21;

Sovereign power! Power independent of and unlimited by any other power! Who does not long to wield such power? Races, nations, governments, and individuals strive for it; but power born of worldliness is here today and gone tomorrow. It is not freedom but slavery. The sovereign power which Christ Jesus describes as the kingdom of God within us is our God-derived capacity to reflect the sovereignty of good in thinking, speaking, acting. With this power we can conquer the limitations and bondage of the flesh. Christian Science enables us not only to claim our heritage of spiritual power but also to defend it.
