PREDAWN SINGING
Before full dawn
in the first gray
hint of light,
birds begin their chirping;
they know the night
is past. They sing
in confidence
of day.
Can we do less
though storm-filled clouds
threaten to immerse
us in depths of darkness?
Must we not sing
knowing "the light of ever-present Love
illumines the universe"? Science and Health, p. 503.
Oh, let us sing—now!
