The Key to Happiness
[Of special interest to children]
One Saturday afternoon Jane didn't know what to do. Playing with her Younger sister Sally didn't seem to be much fun. So she went to the room where her father was working with some books and papers and asked him to play with her.
Jane was very much disappointed when her father said No. It just didn't seem fair to her that he wanted to work when she wanted to play. And when she coaxed him to play with her, he asked her to leave the room.
Jane did not want to go. Instead of going willingly and happily, she stood by the door and banged it back and forth, hoping that the noise would make Father decide to play with her. But she did not watch what she was doing, and suddenly her finger was caught hard in back of the door.
