"All my goodness"

We read in the bible that God said to Moses, "I will make all my goodness pass before thee." Ex. 33:19; When the writer was reading this one day, it occurred to him that this statement is a spiritual fact of which Moses became conscious as he overcame doubt of his ability to lead the children of Israel out of the land of bondage. He was recognizing God's great goodness. But it is also a spiritual fact for everyone to acknowledge and to demonstrate as he works out his own salvation.

The Science of Christianity teaches that God is infinite good and that He bestows all good on His reflection, man, who is made in His own image and likeness. Man is the constant recipient of God's loving-kindness and tender mercy. This spiritual truth was manifested humanly to Moses and the children of Israel in many ways, including the provision of food, guidance, drink, and safe passage through the Red Sea.

Christian Science explains that these expressions of God's goodness are natural and normal. Mrs. Eddy states, "The so-called miracles contained in Holy Writ are neither supernatural nor preternatural; for God is good, and goodness is more natural than evil." Miscellaneous Writings, p. 199; So it is natural for lie to witness manifestations of God's goodness.
