The Inevitable Results of Science
Healing sought through Christian Science is inevitable if tills Science is correctly understood and practiced.
As we progress in our understanding of Christian Science and prove its healing ministry, the time comes when we turn to God for healing with the same absolute confidence and expectancy with which we await the dawn. In Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we read. "The confidence inspired by Science lies in the fact that Truth is real and error is unreal" Science and Health, p. 368: Here is a simple fact on which Christian Science healing is based. The God-given realities of being, which man in God's likeness reflects, include harmony, peace, joy, health, abundant good. Because they are real, they are indestructible and therefore ever present. The inharmonies of material existence, such as sin disease, poverty, and death, are unreal, because God never created them; they exist only in belief. The inevitable result of knowing the truth is the annihilation of error.
What confidence comes to the Christian Scientist as he learns to pray aright! Prayer in Christian Science is a quiet affirmation of God's allness and of man's inclusion in that allness. It is not a rehearsal of blessings required but a sincere acknowledgment that these very blessings always have been, are now, and always will be inherent in man.
