The recommendation to try the healing power of God through Christian Science was made to my mother by her physician some thirty odd years ago. My mother was suffering from a nervous breakdown, and the physician could no longer help her. A Christian Science practitioner was called that night to our home, and a beautiful healing followed.

Mother is still an active student of Science. Since then the whole family have become students of this religion and have had many healings.

My own family has proven many times through the years that "prayer cannot change the Science of being, but it tends to bring us into harmony with it" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 2). Sometime ago my husband and I had another opportunity to prove this statement.
