Turning to God in Humility
How true it is that harmony will always become apparent if we turn to God in humility, if we acknowledge the ever-presence of infinite good in our daily lives, even when discord in the form of loss, lack, sickness, sorrow, sin, or fear would tempt us to believe otherwise!
God, infinite Love, is ever pouring out blessings to His children, but we can partake of these blessings only by turning away from the confused clamor of the material senses and listening quietly and humbly for His message. "Be still, and know that I am God," Ps. 46:10: we read in Psalms, and indeed it is only when mortal thoughts, which always suggest the absence of God, good, are stilled that we can know God.
But how are we to still these clamoring thoughts? By having a clear conviction of the reality and allness of Truth and the consequent unreality of its opposite, error; by understanding God and man's relationship to Him as His perfect spiritual reflection. We learn in Christian Science that the basic truth of any situation is that God is All, the sole creator, the divine Principle; therefore nothing is real—in fact, nothing exists except infinite good, God, and His infinite idea, man and the universe.
